Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar inaugurated a two-day agricultural exhibition at the Sargodha University campus.
The event, organized by the Punjab Department of Agriculture, is expected to be attended by a large number of exporters of high-quality agricultural products and farmers.
According to The News, Punjab Agriculture Minister Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi and Punjab Agriculture Minister Asad Rehman Geelani will also participate in the exhibition, which features 75 stalls with local and domestic agricultural products, farm machinery, etc.
Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture also organized three Pakistan Horti Expos and two Punjab Agri Expos to promote high-value agriculture.
More than 40 delegations from different countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Qatar, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Ukraine, etc.) participated in the exhibition.
Speaking at the event, Federal Minister of National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam said steps are being taken to increase exports of agricultural products and help farmers use modern agricultural technology. To achieve this goal, Agriculture Minister Asad Rehman Gilani said the Model Farm Creation Project will provide practical training to farmers.
